Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper: This Tuesday! The men of the parish will be flipping the flapjacks in All Saints Hall this Tuesday, February 21, at 6:00 p.m. for Shrove Tuesday. So, come and enjoy some pancakes, sausage, and fellowship. Feel free to bring a friend! The cost is $5 p/p.

New! Lenten Series: Feb 21 - Mar 27 Immediately following the Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, we will begin a new Lenten series "More than Wanderers - Themes from C.S. Lewis" under the tutelage of The Revd. Ladson (Punchy) Mills. The series will begin on Tuesday, February 21st and run through Tuesday, March 27th. Each evening will start with dinner in All Saints Hall at 6:00 p.m. After dinner and dessert, the Revd. Mills will lead Lenten series attendees through some of C.S. Lewis's teachings. Each evening should conclude at approximately 8:00 p.m. If you would like to attend, please tell us by signing on either the sheet in the back of the church or at the Angels' desk.

Men's Night Out: Feb 23rd Men, you are invited to the Sandcastle on Kiawah Island on Thursday, Feb. 23rd at 7:00 p.m. for a men's night out with Roger Warren, Pres. Kiawah Island Golf Resort and PGA America (2004-2006). Roger will be giving us a behind the scenes look at the upcoming PGA event on Kiawah Island. 8th Annual Golf Tournament for Respite Care Ministries: Mar. 19th Register now for Respite Care's 8th Annual Golf Tournament, which will be held at Seabrook Island on March 19th. Golfers can register as a team or as individuals. The entry fee is $150 per person and includes the greens fee, cart, course lunch, refreshments and awards reception. Not a golfer? Please join us for a guided nature walk at 1:00 p.m. at St Christopher Camp & Conference Center. Nature walk and reception are $40. The conference will be held February 24 -26. Robert teaches men the four tenants of the knight's code: Live pure, Speak true, Right wrong, and Follow the King. Please see the back bulletin board for more information and registration forms.

Bring a Can to Church: Feb 5th Next Sunday, February 5th, we will collect nonperishable food items for a local food bank. If you would like to participate, simply bring canned or boxed items to church with you and drop them in one of the specially marked baskets in the back.

Annual Parish Meeting: Wed., Jan 25th Please note that the annual parish meeting will be held this coming Wednesday, January 25th at 6:00 p.m. in All Saints Hall. The evening will not include a meal. So, grab a bite at home and then come to the meeting. Copies of the Annual Parish Report are available in the back of the church.

Winter Alpha Has Begun! The winter session of Alpha has begun and will run through March 27th. The group will meet each Tuesday evening at Our Saviour for dinner, a speaker/ presentation, and small group discussion. Mere Anglicanism 2012, January 19-21 This year's Mere Anglicanism Conference will be held January 19-21 at St. Philip's Church in Charleston. The theme of the conference is "The Once and Future Church." The conference will bring together some of the brightest minds in Anglicanism to reflect on who we, as a church, have been and who we can become. Registration is $100 per person, which includes all sessions and two box lunches for Friday and Saturday. Individual presentations are available at $25 per session. Thank you Angels! Many thanks to all who helped to make this year's Angel Tree such a success. From purchasing to wrapping to deliveries, Angels had it all covered. The seniors from the Hebron Zion Senior Center and St James AME wish to thank the members of Church of Our Saviour for their loving and caring hearts this holiday season. Without your generous support, Mary Whyte's Christmas Tea and the St James AME Christmas party could not take place. May God's grace bless each and every one of you this Christmas and in the new year!

Help Make the Season Bright! - Donate a Poinsettia or Wreath If you would like to donate a poinsettia or wreath to decorate the church for Christmas, please sign up on one of the sheets in the back or at the Angels' Desk. Poinsettias are $18 and wreaths are $20.

Angels Come Home! All packages for the Angel Tree are due today. To all who have so generously contributed to the success of this year's outreach - THANK YOU. The children are so blessed to have you in their lives. If you still have gifts to bring, please call Sue Jackson at 768-8562. We will wrap the gifts in the afternoon on Monday and Tuesday (Dec 12 & 13). Lots of paper, tape and ribbons will be on hand as well as pots of coffee and plenty of goodies. Sign up to wrap in the back and come and join in the fun! We also need help delivering packages to homes on Wadmalaw. If you can help, please let us know by signing on the sheet in the back. Those of us who took on this task last year can affirm that you will be blessed! So break out those sleighs, come to the church at 9 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, load up with gifts, and set off with a HO!HO!HO!

Mary Whyte's Christmas Tea: This Wednesday! Join Mary Whyte and seniors from the Hebron Zion Senior Center this Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in All Saints Hall for a tea party and enjoy some Christmas cheer! During the tea, the seniors will select presents for their grandchildren from a festive gift array. If you have purchased a gift of a toy, doll, game, sports equipment, clothing, etc. for a child, please place your unwrapped gift in the specially marked box in the back of the church. If you still need to drop your gift(s) off, please call the church office on Monday and let us know. To donate cookies or help with the tea, please call Mary Whyte at 768-7222.

St James AME Christmas Party: Dec. 18 Celebrate the season with seniors from St James AME on 18 Dec. at 12:30 p.m. for a festive luncheon. We'll shop, cook, and serve our brothers and sisters in Christ and distribute much needed gift cards to the seniors for groceries. This is the last week to contribute towards the purchase of the gift cards; so if you would like to help, please place your donation in the basket in the back of the church or see Kathy Smith (768-3141).

Island Choraliers Winter Concert: Dec. 9 The Island Choraliers will hold their winter concert at Our Saviour on 9 December at 7:00 p.m. Come, bring a friend, and enjoy the sounds of the season as men from the sea islands sing a selection of all-time greatest Christmas songs and carols. Admission is free and no ticket is needed. Donations are gratefully accepted!

Please be an Angel! Make the holidays merrier for children on the sea islands by being an "Angel" this Christmas! Simply pluck a child's angel off the tree in the lobby and purchase the listed items. Angels are available from Nov. 27th through Dec. 10th. Drop unwrapped gifts and the paper angels off at the church no later than Dec. 11th . Gifts will be distributed to the children on 15 Dec. Mary Whyte's Christmas Tea: Dec.14 Join Mary Whyte and seniors from the Hebron Zion Senior Center on Dec. 14th in All Saints Hall for a tea party and enjoy some Christmas cheer!
